Slammin Bass
Slammin Bass is a music ONLY format, unlike the other NESPL classes. Music must be used in ALL Slammin classes, NO test tones are allowed. Slammin Bass will be offered at select events during the 2010 season so make sure to check the event info ahead of time.
Slammin Bass is made up of two rounds, a qualifying round, and a final round. Scores are based on a 30 second average from each round, meaning if you average 140.5 in qualifying and 140.3 in the final round your score would average out to be 140.4. The competitor with the highest final score wins. In the event of a tie, the tied competitors will be required to compete head to head and the highest score of this round will be the winner of that class. Competitors may make additional runs, the two highest scores will be used to average your final score.
Sq In: The Square Inch size limits on Subs per class.
Batteries: Size and quantity will be unlimited.
Voltage: The limit of battery voltage allowed.
Wall: Walled set up's allowed only in Slammin 4 & 5.
*Classes are based on square inch of surface area of the subwoofers in each system. The Sq in Measurements are as follows: 8" = 50", 10" = 79", 12" = 113", 15" = 177", 18" = 254". Square subs are measured width X height.

To win in this format you need to find a good song with a long stretch of
Bass in it, the longer the better. Each run on the meter will be 30 seconds long and your score will be averaged over that 30 seconds. So having a song with a long stretch of bass will help your score more than a song with several short bursts of bass.
*SPL sensor will be placed 4" up from the dash and 12" from the passengerside "A" pillar.
*Vehicles must remain sealed, and are allowed to be running.
*CD's, Burned CD's, iPods and MP3's are all acceptable.
*All Enclosures must remain behind the "B" Pillar.
*Seats may be removed ONLY in Slammin 4 & 5 classes.
*All subs 8" and larger will be counted.
*Competitors may only compete in the class that your system fits into.
*Extra runs are allowed for an additional fee, but only if time allows.
*The two run minimum may be waved if there is only one competitor in the class.
