This class is designed for the entry level competitor. This class is open to all Amateur competitors.
Anyone working in the 12 volt industry or receiving discounted equipment will be considered Pro, and will have to move up to the Pro Stock classes.
No test tones will be allowed in this class, music only.
Strapped amplifiers, multicell batteries and BatCaps are not allowed. Refer to the chart for battery sizes.
Enclosures may be above the window line, but no more than 3" above and No Walls are allowed. (enclosures should be built below the window line, but will be allowed 3" above in Amateur ONLY)
No CRX's, Panda's or Yugo's allowed in this class.
Any competitor that has competed in more than 10 SPL competitons in NESPL or ANY other SPL organization in any previous seasons will have to move up to the Stock classes. Exceptions will only be granted by the Head Judge.
Your score will be determined by the highest SPL level you acheive during your 30 second run.
Each Amateur class will be limited to two batteries, this includes the main battery. One battery is limited to 800 cubic inches, and the second battery is limited to 600 cubic inches. Example would be the XS Power D6500 or smaller.
No interior modifications designed to enhance the SPL score are allowed, exception will be show car type systems. This will be determined by the events head judge.
